Here you will find everything you need to know about preparing wallpaper

Non-woven wallpaper:

When using the right adhesive, non-woven wallpaper is easy to remove, even after years!

1. Prepare the paste according to the instructions or use ready-to-use wallpaper glue. We recommend using Ready & Roll wallpaper glue for non-woven wallpaper from Perfax.

2. Draw a plumb line from top to bottom on the wall. Use a spirit level or plumb line for this.

3. Then apply the adhesive to the wall with a roller.

4. Apply the wallpaper directly to the wall in the still damp adhesive. Non-woven wallpaper can also be applied directly from the roll. Press the wallpaper down and smooth it over with a wallpapering trowel, brush or cloth.

5. Cut the wallpaper to size along the ceiling and the skirting-board using a ruler and a break-off knife.

Tips:

· Wallpapering on a wall with plaster? First tap the wall: if there is a dull sound, the plaster is probably loose in places. Carefully remove the bad spots and repair the holes with filler.

· Prime highly absorbent surfaces first to break down the greatest suction. See packaging for wallpaper glue.

· Mark pre-cut strips of wallpaper with a small pencil mark or number on the back to make sure the strips are stuck on in the same direction. Always use a soft pencil for marking; ink from felt-tip pens and pens can show through the wallpaper.

· When cutting the strips, always keep the printed side up. Any errors and/or stains will then be noticed immediately.

· Always use a sharp knife to cut the wallpaper. A blunt knife can cause cracks.

· Rolls of wallpaper: When cutting the wallpaper to size, it is advisable to take an extra length of at least 10 cm, so that the wallpaper can be cut exactly along the skirting board and the ceiling with the ruler after installation.

· Wallpaper must always dry slowly. If it dries too quickly, it may shrink or tear. Dry wallpaper with the doors and windows closed and the heating at a moderate temperature.

· Remove excess or spilt paste immediately by dabbing with a clean, slightly moist sponge. Do not rub!
